Thew Associates awarded a term agreement with the NRCS
Thew Associates PE-LS, PLLC is pleased to announce that we have been awarded a term agreement with the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) to perform legal boundary surveys for the Wetlands Reserve Program (WRP) and other conservation program easements.
The NRCS is responsible for administering the WRP offering landowners the opportunity to protect, restore and enhance wetlands on their property; Grasslands Reserve Program (GRP) offering landowners the opportunity to protect, restore and enhance grassland on their property; and Emergency Watershed Protection Floodplain Easement Program (EWP-FPE) offering landowners the opportunity to protect, restore and enhance land subject to repeated flooding and flood damage.
Thew Associates will be responsible for performing boundary retracement surveying and preparing easement mapping for the geographic area consisting of Cayuga, Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Fulton, Hamilton, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Montgomery, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, Saratoga, St. Lawrence, Warren, and Washington Counties in New York.
Thew Associates PE-LS, PLLC initially contracted with the NRCS in 1995, and provided surveying and mapping services for approximately 145 WRP easements situated throughout Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Jefferson, Lewis, and Oneida Counties.
The contract’s initial period of performance is for one year with four separate option periods of one year each. Our staff is excited to have the opportunity to work with the NRCS staff once again.
